Hence, the independence of manufacturing pumped storage units can be gradually realized in China. If the equipments are capable to be made in China, they should be used as much as possible, which can actively improve the localization of the pumped storage units.
In fact, the main equipments of the pumped storage unit, including the pump turbine and motor generator, are basically the same with the conventional hydroelectric generating sets. They are only different in that the operation condition of the former is more complex, and the automatic control components account for a larger proportion.
